How to Stand Out in an Oversaturated Business Market
Creating a stand out offer with your unique design style
“The online business market is getting oversaturated!” Okay, it definitely appears that way. The inevitable thing is that there are always going to be other businesses doing it similarly, right? Whether they offer the same goods and services, use the same methods, or have the same target audience, it can feel like there’s a carbon copy of your business at every turn. So how the heck are you supposed to stand out from the crowd?
There is something you have that nobody else does. It’s going to sound corny, but it’s YOU. Hear me out.
You have a personality!
You are unique, and as the founder and CEO, you are the literal heartbeat of your business. That uniqueness HAS to be pulled through your visuals. This is also known as good branding, my friends.
I think that many businesses fear giving their branding some quirk and style - we may feel that our branding needs to give off a certain level of professionalism, luxury, or heightened feel. And sure, that is most definitely a part of it. But we can be professional AND have a personality. And in my opinion, we should!
So how do you pull your uniqueness through branding?
Short Answer:
If you’re ready to invest, work with a brand designer you like and trust. Brand designers know exactly how to pull uniqueness and personality through branding in a heightened way. You just have to be ready to share your story and be open with them!
Long answer:
Your brand designer has to see your business from your perspective as much as possible. So share your story, and try to be a little vulnerable. Those pieces of you or your journey as a business owner are uniqueness GOLD. We want to highlight them, whether it’s in a subtle special way or a BIG one. If you don’t know where to start, I usually guide my clients along with questions like “Why did you get into this business?” and “What makes you stand out from others in your field?”
Think about what your “magic is” - that thing you have that people couldn’t replicate if they tried, that makes people go “Oooh, that’s cool!” In order for your brand design to pull the heart and soul of your business through, you just have to share a little, and create something that feels just as magical and unique as you are!
