Our collaboration with the High Ambition Climate Collective was focused on creating a website that serves as a dynamic platform for building enduring power for climate action. The site provides a space for the community to share insights, showcase projects, and lay the groundwork for systemic progress in the fight against climate change.

One of the key features of the website is the project database, which enables users to explore innovative climate solutions, connect with experts, and bring proven, actionable projects to their own communities. By fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing, the High Ambition Climate Collective is helping to drive forward impactful climate initiatives across the globe.

Design with purpose and sustainability in mind

For the High Ambition Climate Collective, creating a website that both reflects their mission and minimizes environmental impact was a top priority. As part of our commitment to sustainability, we made intentional design choices to keep the carbon footprint of the site as low as possible. Rather than relying heavily on large image files, we focused on using color-blocking and animations to create an engaging, visually rich experience without compromising performance. Photos were incorporated only when they added significant value to the message or visual storytelling. These conscious design decisions helped us reduce the site's environmental impact, resulting in a carbon footprint that's approximately 68% lower than the average website. With a modest 0.55g of CO2 emitted per page visit, the site not only serves as a hub for climate action and collaboration but also stands as a model for sustainable digital practices.

The project portal: A visual and interactive solution

One of the key challenges of the High Ambition Climate Collective website was building a robust and user-friendly project portal to showcase over 100 climate initiatives, each with up to 20 fields of information to categorize. We knew that organizing this vast amount of data in a way that was both accessible and engaging for users was critical to the success of the platform.

To meet this challenge, we developed a custom CMS that supports easy data management while also prioritizing visual appeal and interactivity. The portal features an interactive map that allows users to explore climate projects by location, as well as visual tagging to highlight key attributes of each project. Our intuitive filtering system enables users to quickly find projects based on specific criteria—whether by project type, geographic area, or impact goals.

The result is a dynamic and engaging experience that empowers users to discover innovative solutions and connect with experts across a range of climate initiatives, all while maintaining a clear, easy-to-navigate interface.

Connecting community and conversation

To support the High Ambition Climate Collective’s vision of fostering collaboration and shared knowledge, we developed a custom membership platform from scratch, integrating Webflow with Memberstack to create a seamless, user-friendly experience for members.

The membership portal serves as a dynamic space where collective members can engage in meaningful conversations, contribute ideas, and collaborate on climate solutions. Key features include a chat forum, where members can participate in real-time discussions, share insights, and exchange knowledge. The portal also highlights recent collective contributions, giving members the opportunity to stay updated on the latest ideas and projects within the community. Additionally, the member look-up feature allows users to connect with others based on shared interests, expertise, and geographical location.

By integrating Webflow’s powerful design capabilities with Memberstack’s membership management system, we created a platform that is both visually appealing and highly functional, allowing the High Ambition Climate Collective to connect its members in a meaningful way, driving forward collaboration and collective impact.
